Effective July 13, 2021 all NYC Health + Hospitals Staff will be required to download and enroll DUO Mobile multi-factor authentication in order to access the Point of Entry application from outside the NYC Health + Hospitals Network. At NYC Health+ Hospitals, the safety of our staff, patients and visitors is our first priority. Starting Monday, October 5, all employees entering any of our hospitals, Gotham Health centers and Central Office sites will be required to answer a questionnaire to screen for COVID-19 exposure, symptoms and travel history. The questionnaire is on an easy-to-use electronic app.
After a few, quick steps that take less than 30 seconds, you will receive a green pass to Enter or a red No Entry notification. A No Entry notification requires employees to alert their supervisor immediately, get a COVID-19 test within the next 24 hours, and follow the necessary steps to quarantine.
The electronic Point of Entry screening tool will not be used at Post-Acute Care locations or Correctional Health Services worksites. The app is not currently designed to screen patients or visitors, which continues to be done manually and includes temperature checks.
This new electronic questionnaire is designed to protect you and your coworkers from exposure to COVID-19 and create a safe environment for our patients and community.
This daily screening practice for all our employees meets the safety requirements by the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS) and the New York State Department of Health.
