Second dose: All individuals who receive their first dose at a NYC Health + Hospitals location will be scheduled for a second dose.
Additional primary series dose (aka third dose for those immunocompromised): All individuals who are 5 years of age or older, and are moderately or severely immunocompromised or receiving immunosuppressive medications/treatments are eligible for an additional primary series dose of an mRNA vaccine.
The following immunocompromised individuals should receive an additional dose at least 28 days after their last primary series dose:
1st Booster Dose: The following individuals who are at least 5 years of age and reside in the United States should receive a booster if they:
2nd Booster Dose: The following individuals who reside in the United States are eligible to receive a 2nd booster dose of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine:
*Individuals 5-17 years of age are only eligible for a Pfizer booster at this time.
*There are now booster recommendations for all three available COVID-19 vaccines in the United States. Eligible individuals may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose. According to the CDC, use of an mRNA COVID-19 Vaccine as a booster dose is preferred even for those who received Janssen/Johnson & Johnson for their single dose primary series.
Note: Individuals who received either monoclonal antibodies or convalescent plasma for treatment of COVID-19 can receive COVID-19 vaccine once their isolation period ends.

Individuals 18 years or older who received an initial dose of the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine may receive an additional dose of EITHER mRNA COVID-19 vaccine (PfizerBioNTech or Moderna)
You will be asked to show proof of having completed the two-dose mRNA series or the single dose of Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine (for example, your CDC COVID-19 vaccination card) at the time of your appointment.
